Life is short and should be lived keeping that in mind. But how can I improve it. There are so many things to do. How do I break from my regular cycle and do those things??

Today went aaram se to office. My bug list came down, so thoda acha tha. But the later it gets in the day, the more traffic we see. Esp near IMax. Almost every other day I am seeing a traffic jam over there. So today was that day. Was going in the ant pace.

Let me tell you one thought which came into my mind using an example. Take a glass and put in some rocks. The glass fills up after sometime. But still there is some empty spaces in between the rocks. Now take some sand and pour in into the glass. The sand fills up the space between the rocks. This is exactly how the Hyderabad roads are.

Road = Glass.
Rocks = Cars.
Bikes = Sand.

If in a traffic jam cars stop, the way these bike squeeze themselves in between cars,autos and fill up the places. Today it was somewhat amusing. Like sand, even in standstill traffic the way these bikes fill up the areas. That was good, but the irritating part is the way they hit the cars and other vehicles while squeezing in, just feel like taking their bikes and putting scratchers all over it.

So finally managed to reach office. So started on my bugs list and was working through it.

In between had to meet a few people, so went out for a hour or so. The topic of discussion was MBA, on how the market is, on how the colleges these days were. One thing before doing an MBA one has to think is, and is very important is why do you want to do a MBA. Was asking my friend the same as she wanted to do one. A few pundits in this field were suggesting me to take up an executive mba . It is on lines, but not yet.

Came back to office, had lunch on our hot terrace. Finished my daily scrum meeting in the afternoon and back to my buggy list. By evening the appraisal mails have started to flow in, but had a deadline to meet by Friday, so dint get a chance to look at it. The whole procedure of appraisal is so time and mind consuming, but the end results are always good . Have to see how this goes as this is the first time in this company.

Came home. Had dinner. Finished the last bit of “Up in the Air”. Its a nice movie. Though I dint get a feeling towards it like an oscar movie, liked watching it. The story was fresh and the actors were amazing. But somewhere in the end, the movie lost its charm. I was expecting a more powerful ending. So finished that movie and started “Em maya chesave” . Its a young cast and the actors look cute esp the girl. heard somewhere that Junior NTR, saw that movie 6 times just for that girl. Simple lovestory. Saw some part of it. Daily its become a routine for me to see movie, like some serial. Seeing one movie in parts n pieces while having dinner.

Anyways the day is done, kodi has gone to sleep too , so time for me to sign off.

Just one sentence. I was so irritated by computers, that once I come home, I dint even feel like opening a browser. Somehow was not checking mails, not replying to any non office mails, dint open any networking sites, no other sites than my office outlook..Just got irritated.

Now comes on why this suddenly? Maybe work, maybe the number of hours I was spending at office in front of the computer only working. That might have made my mind into this pro-computer mode. Somehow in my 5 years of working never felt so exhausted at work. I was always a person who would look forward to a Monday, might not be always, but I was never at-least sad that a Monday was coming after a holiday. Believe me thats very true!!. Somehow these days, every day looks like a worked up day to get through.

Again its not like I dint have tough days at work. I still remember one project in 2006 which I did in Chennai (onsite from office..sigh ) where I had to work back to back 24 hours a day with only 5-6 hours of break and this was for 1 whole week. But then there was some zeal in my activities.

So all this got me into thinking, and more thinking on why this now. So was not in a mood to do anything on a computer for sometime. But again cant avoid work, so anything apart from work was taken out.

Now that my mind has come to rest after this 1 week, took out my writing pen again.

The day started as usual. Had a bad headache yesterday, so came off from office early and went to bed. Yet got up late today. Got ready. The days are becoming hot as pans these days, and I am a person who cannot take much sun. The drive was nice. Turned on the ac and put on the songs. It was a coool ride.

Reached office. The morning was bad. Issues, issues and more issues. By the time I realized it was lunch. I have lunch on the top floor which is basically an open area with some titled roof. The hot air from all sides can make your head spin. So thought will try this small experiment. Just took the minimum lunch I need to eat. Went up way early than others. Had my lunch in like 4 mins exactly and came back. The whole thing dint take even 10 mins. But the only problem is I was hungry very soon!! The afternoon was no better. Things started shaping up by evening. Issues were closing up and my neurons were clearing up a bit. By night it looked ok. So wrapped up my work. Got into the car and set off to home.

Yesterday, seeing Oscars and so many amazing movies, I decided that I will watch each and every movie nominated for best picture. So to start with i choose “Up In the Air”. I had that movie with me, so saw that. Nice movie.George Clooney is certainly one of the most handsome men I have ever seen. Still have some movie left to watch, so will tell you how it is tomorrow.

Anyways, got up early at 6am. Got ready and dropped sis at her office and managed to reach office by 7.50am.

Thats how the roads were. Nice to drive on such empty roads in the city. Ishkiyan songs were playing. Somehow those songs have become like this addiction. The words have so much meaning in them and are so neatly written.

So rest of the day, was typing, typing and more typing. Had meals parcel lunch today, as i dint get my daily dabba. I generally do not like to waste food. A few spoons of rice we ignore, imagine there are people who would do anything for that. And I am not talking about people somewhere else. Such people live among us. Somehow I feel sad, not just bad , but sad, when I see food getting wasted.

Called the Consulate in between to find my visa status. My visa is lying somewhere, in some country and we lost the track. Managed to get some update and the wait still continues.

So the day passed on. Somehow managed to finish my tasks. Yipee!! and pushed off the code for review and testing.

Finally the day ended at 8. Came down. Took out the car. My head was dizzy. So put on some music and drove slowly to pick up my sis from her office.

The moon today is somewhat amazing. Its like this Red huge full ball. It was a pleasure to watch. The raods were all lit up, some Muslim festival I guess.

Today wanted to have dinner at pizza hut but after parcel lunch at office, fruits, samosa n rasmalai (a colleague had a kid) there was absolutely no place for anything else. So had a light dinner watching hockey. These days somehow I do not feel like watching cricket. The game is going crazy, the kind of hype and commercialized it has become. It looks like some Planned show rather than a hardworking match.

Player is a player, whether you play hockey or cricket. But these days the kind of hype the cricket players are getting, just feels like an insult to the other game players who are working and dedicated to the game as much as the cricket players, or I can say more because of the financial factor.

One other factor I always support and believe is, if one works hard, it should pay. I totally believe in hardwork. You might fail sometimes, but keep up the hardwork and it will pay at some point of time.

Anyways its almost 11.40. Had a long day. Time to crash. See you tomorrow.

It was holi, but not a bit of colour on me. Got colours and dint even open the packet!!. Had to come to work early. And by the end of the day, i hardly remembered that it was holi too.

Some days a just left unspoken of.They are tainted.

So that was my day.

The original plan was to go to science museum, planetarium and koti sunday book market. But somehow wanted to spend a lazy sunday at home.

Mom wanted to make some murukulu .So sis and me decided to join in. So the till afternoon we were all making murukulu of different shapes and sizes. While we were doing that managed to make chicken fry. Somehow am able to cook a few things these days. Later noted down the recipie of these things in my cook book. Yeah I have a cook book where i write down the recipies of all the dishes i make or see my mom make. So tomorrow when i have to cook somewhere, instead of calling mom every other minute I will have my book with me

Saw TV for sometime. Some movie called “I know who killed me” was playing. The way these writes ger the ideas to write the movie scripts is amazing. Then worked on my court case for sometime. Had some documents to edit/write. Saw this movie called Tho baat pakki .If you want to torture someone buy them this ticket and push them into the movie theater and lock the door. I promise you that to come to a normal state would take sometime. I thought atleast we can watch the movie for Tabu but was wrong. Cant describe more!!

The day ended gradually and the Monday blooms started creeping in. Once I used to love the Monday, but now its like why has the Sunday finished so soon. Of all the days I like Saturdays better. You wont be feeling sad that tomorrow your holidays finish, so one can enjoy their holiday in peace.

So back to Physical/mental effort or activity directed toward the production or accomplishment of something from tomorrow. Dint get it!!. In simple terms it meant Work!!

Got up late.

Most of the morning was spent in reading all the papers regarding our court case and the papers we got from different government offices. Wrote some compliants to some govt officers.Met some people in that respect . Would have a buzy week submitting all these complaints in all the government offices.

Someone told me a few days ago that they wanted to see Ishqiya. I dint even realize there was such a movie. Earlier someone or the other at the office used to tell us about all the new releases, hits, songs, reviews but currently there is a lesser crowd around me who are into other languages than Telugu and I am not much of the regular tollywood movie person. So not getting the correct updates. But anyways saw the movie today.

Nice movie. Vidya Balan looks amazing. From parineeta to Ishqiya, her simple beauty is always a treat to watch. That lady has this charm in her, that even if she moves there is a nazhakhat in that. Nazaruddin shah is charismatic. Was brilliant to see a man of his age in such a role. Even though he is twice her age, the chemistry between them just clicks. It was like this old fashioned romance, music which charms the movie. The sounds are like this ghazal playing. Its a bit slow to watch, but if you have that patiance to enjoy the movie, its worth watching it.

Seeing this movie, ek sher yaad agaya. Kuch istarah hai,

Not much of a sher but I find the meaning intense.

Had cookies from cookie-man. Somehow dint like them much. I like those coconut flavored cookies we get a lot though.

Anyways the rest of the day, was a regular day. Still reading my novel. Tomorrow is a sunday, so thinking I should go to koti sunday market and get some more books that is if I manage to get up before noon

That was how I was feeling at the end of the day. I may have all the complications one might have in it, but I simply love living it

This day was nothing special. Got up in the morning, wore my nice fav shirt to office. Went in a bit early as I have to finish my work in the morning and play poken in the evening.

I stepped in into my floor and they still havent put on all the lights. It was kind of dusky. But then the office boy came and switched on the lights and all of the sudden the floor was bright as a stage. I always thought why do we have so many lights in a software company or these mnc’s. I think its because they do not want you to know the difference as the day moves from morning to evening. Once you are in the office, you will feel neutral. Its always the same atmosphere.

In one of my earlier companies, they used to play waterfall sound in some development areas. It was like, it will help people relax. But what happened was, after every 30 mins or so the tape restarts and that causes a change in the flow for a split of second, which would break that continous flow of tuning your mind to that music. So after a few days they removed it as it was causing a disturbance in the flow.

So the point is, once you are inside an office, which is litterally like your home these days, as we spend more time here than anywhere, people want to make it an experience where you forget time and work . Everything is maintained in a neutral way . Constant noise, smell, light, temperature. So you are in this own world irrespective of what happens outside. The temperature changes outside, it dosent matter, your floor temperature is always constant. See what I mean.

Anyways, so I continued in my egg shell for the rest of the day, working. And it was 6.30 in the evening. Poker time .

I never player poker before entering this company, but somehow after playing it a couple of time, I loved this game. There are other games like bingo, slots..etc but I kind of loved this game. You have to think on your cards and also think on others cards.

So started playing, and within the first 30 mins, exhausted all my points and was out of the table. Most of the people were not playing, so took my friends account and was back in the game. When I entered it was 150 points in his account, but managed to go till 13000, but unfrotunately ended up in the 10th position. Not bad for my 3rd tournment. What counts is that I am improving.

It was late by the time it was done. Came out of the office.

One other thing which happened in the office was, my collegues are als reading my blog . Got some nice comments on them today. Always good to know.

Nahi the day did not end yet. Saw Leader. Was curious as first it was a movie on political system and secondly it was shekar kammula movie. It was a nice movie ,but not great. SOmehow at the end of the movie, i was expecting some inspired message, but alas I dint find any. It managed to end on a normal note. Somehow I felt it lost that pulse in between. Overall worth watching it once and understand what the director wanted to convey.

That ended my friday. A weekend to go.

PS: A thought of the day.
When people try to pull you down, go back and prove how wrong they were. Do not ever let someone else tell you what you are worth of or what you deserve, you should always know, what you are worth of. That is the most important thing.

After fighting for a few minutes, dragged myself out of the bed, got ready. Had a long day today. I was dreaming about soap UI and it was not pleasant . Non Techies , do ont ask me what it is.

Got ready and came out, still in that sleepy mood . Yesu (our ancient watchman who has been with us from hazar years) cleaned my blacky, but I wanted to drive my small car. So he dusted that out, got in and started off. The drive was smooth until chadarghat. Suddenly there was this huge traffic jam out of nowhere. Usually the traffic starts after 8 when kids go to school but it was still not 8 and the jam was huge. Thought there might be some accident or something, which was causing this. Cant do much, so slowly moved forward. It took like 45 mins to move 3 kms. When we reach the end of the road saw that there is this huge rally with flags, camels, songs and all. Some religious rally .

Being religious is ones own choice but such things on the main roads!! People should think twice on such things . By causing so much trouble, to so many people how are they going to please god ? It caused a jam of nearly 5 kms at school and office time . I think its unit tests time at schools. the kids were studying, getting late for the exams. The bechare traffic police men were having a tough time. This delay wasted my whole effort of getting up in the morning to go to office early. Managed to reach office by 8.45.

I was to leave ealry today, so thought would come in early and finish up my work. So rest of the day was all work n work.

I had to go to the secondary school education office, to take the reply to my RTI request at 4.30. So wrapped up my work by 4.15 and started off to the govt office. I have been there so many times, that now everyone recognizes me there. Took my papers. Not a fruitful reply. There were lots of papers , so thought would read them at home.

Came out of the office and updated dad about the papers. He reminded me that the pollution check might have expired for the car and these days the traffic cops are stopping us at every other junction to check the papers. And he was right. It expired last week. So drove back trying to avoid the probable places where I can encounter a traffic cop till i found a pollution check van. I felt like a chor!! Got it done. Such a relief.

Came home. Dint feel like reading all those papers. So saw 3 idiots for the 3rd time which my colleague at work got me. Skipped dinner. Somehow dint feel like eating too. Took a book to bed and reading it to sleep. I have to read my own bedtime stories too .

And the day ended.

Somehow felt like wearing some diamonds today. I love diamonds.They say diamonds are the girls best friends and its very true in my case. Of all the accessories, these the one which always brings smile to my face. I am not much into plain gold jewellery, but would never say no to diamonds. I love things that sparkle, Stars ,lakes under sun. That kind of sparkle is what I see in these stones too. Somehow when I see them sparkle it brings a kind of peace and joy inside . So got out my earrings,ring, bracelet and there I was miss sparkling

Started off to the office .I generally take Dilsukhnagar-Malakpet-Koti-Abids-Liberty-Secratariat-Imax-Rajbahvan- Somajiguda- Begumpet route. Today, the secratariat-Imax road was totally blocked, so took a turn into necklace road and went off to Begumpet, but then again Begumpet road was jammed. Traffic!! Cant avoid it. So went into some gallis of begumpet to avoid the main road and successfully managed to escape that traffic. I know my roads well

Rest of the day was hectic. Lots of code check-ins ,reviews, testing and somehow by the time I stepped out of the office it was 8.30 pm. I was exhausted. Got into my blacky, put on some radio, picked up my sis and went off to ghar. Was not even in a mood to eat,wanted to crash directly into my bed.

Thats how my 24th of Feb was.

Was looking forward to plunge into the day. Had a nice drive to office. The radio was on and the guy on the radio was saying about on how to save paper. He was asking us to write down everytime we take a printout and then see if that was required. Also if we have a new ideas to save paper we can call them. But on a serious note, these days with these sms thing, we can avoid so much paper. The movie bookings, bus tickets all are being shifted to sms. Its a nice idea. What an idea sirji

Another nice thing was my blog hit 218 views yesterday.Thats the highest views per day.. Yippee!!

Rest of the day was at work. Had too much work to do. So worked and worked and worked. If you guys are into development there is this tool called checkstyle which will help you to write neat java code. It will help you maintain a standard across all your java classes.

I was in a good mood at the end of the day. So got into the car, Fanna songs were playing. Happily singed on my way back.

Was also thinking on how an MBA can add value to me at this stage of life. I want to be clear on what I can learn from that education rather than just do an MBA for the sake of a better placement. I still feel I may pass a few more years till I want to go for it. But its always good to do a check on what to learn and how to plan your next years.

Came back home, had kakarakaya curry (i like it the way my mom makes it) , seeing friends -season 1 while writing this blog (I have all the seasons) .

Will watch a couple of episodes and then hit the sack.
